MEET THE INSTRUCTORS


He'enalu

He'enalu, which translates to wave rider and wave sliding in 'olelo Hawaii, was born and raised on the South Shore of O'ahu.  He started surfing at the age of 2 on a longboard with his father at a local spot known as Ala Moana Bowls.   

Favorite surf spots: Kaisers, Rockpiles, Bowls, Beachpark, Kaikos, Ermas

Bryce

Born on the south side of Big Island and raised in central Maui. Now residing on Oahu, he has surfed many types of waves across the islands. Skilled in many other water sports such as SUP and Outrigger Canoe Paddling.

Nick

All the way from Brazil, Nick came to Hawaii to surf the best Oahu has to offer. He loves to be in the ocean in any and all conditions. I think he believes the ocean is his bathtub. Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese 

Favorite Spot: Sandy's


Michael

A So-cal surf native, the ocean has always been Michaels neighbor. Surfing since the age of 5, he has surfed all over the United States, Mexico, and Southeast Asia. Michael has a dog named eddie, who he has taught to surf with him.

Favorite spot: Trestles


Tim

With years of surf lesson experience in Waikiki, Tim joined Oahu Hikes team of surf instructors due to the amount of fun he actually gets to have with our style of business. 

Favorite spot: Makapu'u

Becca

Hans

An aquatic creature and co owner of Nekton Surf. Providing maximum stoke levels.

Tommy

Oahu raised, Tommy has been either in the mountains or in the ocean since he could walk. Tommy is programed like a fearless machine, if there is anything that gets your heart pumping this guy does it.
